Heroic Doctor of Honduras: Luther Castillo

Perhaps no doctor since Patch Adams has done so much for those in dire medical need. Dr. Luther Castillo, a Honduran from the very poor Garifuna community, shares about starting a medical center where there hadn't been a doctor in over 100 years. An activist too outspoken for the coup government in Honduras, Dr. Castillo was exiled. This gave the heroic doctor the opportunity to help Haitian people with vitally needed medical attention after the devastating earthquake of 2010. Filmed March, 2012 in Minneapolis.
